From an alternative dance scene to established institutions, from experimental performances to musicals and ballet evenings: Dresden is a hugely innovative centre of dance. The aim of DRESDANCE is to place a spotlight on this astonishing diversity. Hosted by the city’s State Operetta, a number of local institutions are involved: the ballet company of the State Operetta, the dance ensemble of the Landesbühnen Sachsen, the Palucca University of Dance (Dresden), the TanzNetzDresden, the Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company and the Semperoper Ballett. In this way, DRESDANCE stands for a collaborative future in dance.
